What are the typical ear gauge sizes?
Ear gauging sizes increase as the number gets smaller. It starts of at 20ga, then goes to 18ga, then 16ga, and so on down to 0ga and double 00ga.
After 0ga comes 00ga (double zero) then you are considered “off the chart” meaning you are off the standard ear gauging/stretching chart. Ear gauges past 00ga are rarer but still are quite easy to find.
While ear gauges “technically” start at 20ga, most people usually don’t consider your ears gauged or stretched until you get below a 12ga.

Hole sizes are not to scale.
It is important to know the length and diameter of the jewelery you are using. This will keep your piercings even at all times.
